Our Vision

To be the premier organization enhancing the mission of Casa de la Luz Hospice through the acquisition and disposition of funds to help transform the end-of-life experience into the final act of living well.

Our Mission

To acquire and dispense funds:

  • To provide funding of supplemental support for hospice patients, family and loved ones during end-of-life care.
  • To educate the community about end-of-life care.
  • To support research concerning end-of-life care.
  • To conduct appropriate fund raising events to help finance our vision.

Fulfilling the Mission

One of the important ways the Foundation fulfills its mission is through financial support of the Casa de la Luz Hospice Community Bereavement Program.  A portion of the Foundation's monthly donations go toward sustaining this vital program and the many services it provides to help families and friends cope with the loss of a loved one.  Please visit www.casahospice.com for more information on the Bereavement Program.

The Foundation also hosts an annual day-long educational conference that explores end-of-life issues.  Past keynote speakers have included Ira Byock, MD, Grammy award-winning composer Gary Malkin, and Kathleen Dowling Singh.
